Photoshop Bridge

Adobe is well-known for their image editing suite Adobe Photoshop, along with their video editing program called Premiere Pro but they also have a freeware product designed to organize your media collection with Adobe Bridge.

Currrently Photoshop crashes after 10 minutes of use and Bridge takes forever and a day to load if it loads at all. Once it does load the images take ages to show themselves and then Bridge also crashes. I am currently restarting my computer about every 15 minutes to get any time out of these programs and tearing my hair out with frustration.

New in Adobe Bridge CC 2019 9.1: User Interface updates: Experience enhancements in the appearance of menu bar, labels, and ratings. Use the Image Backdrop slider to adjust background contrast. Step 3 ā€“ Importing The Photos To Photomerge. With Adobe Bridge open, go ahead and browse to the location where you put the photos for your panorama.Select them with a click-ā€˜nā€™-drag.

Uninstall latest version of Bridge. Reinstall latest version of Bridge but when asked 'Do you want to import preferences from previous version of Bridge' Click NO! If you click YES, i'm guessing you don't get Photoshop and Image Processor listed in Tools PhotoshopImage Processor. Adobe Bridge is a complex file managing program that was created to help you organize files, navigate and sort them, and easily find the specific image or document you need without having to open it in a separate software. It includes a couple of simple image editing tools, but not enough to satisfy the daily needs of a commercial photographer.

Adobe Bridge is a comprehensive media manager and image viewer which is easy to use and can quickly mange most types of media files while also integrating nicely with other Adobe applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign.

Upon installation and firing up Bridge, you're greeted with a sleek user interface that's organized into several sections. Among them is Essentials, Filmstrip, Output, Metadata and Keywords.

EXIF data and image formats

The main interface features include access to file properties, file meta data such as EXIF and other camera data stored inside of the image file itself. The interface is pretty customizable, meaning different panels containing tools and data are able to be organizing and placed in different areas of the program interface.

With its support for virtually all image formats, Adobe Bridge is able to recognize and deal with digital SLR and mirrorless cameras and even those created by your cell phone. The same goes for video files and to a lesser extent, audio files.

Some of the actions that Bridge can take are organizing files by sorting them, editing their metadata and storing them into collections. The really cool feature that Adobe Bridge is useful for is its support for batch editing photos which means it can rename and convert files en masse. It can also add labels to files and assign them a star rating.

Manage a large amount of multimedia content

Probably the best feature of this application is the ability to deal with a large amount of photos. Instead of naming and organizing images one-by-one in Windows Explorer, Adobe Bridge can batch rename hundreds or thousands of files. It can also easily convert virtually all images to JPEG or PNG format which are compatible with web sites like Facebook and Instagram.

In conclusion: Bridge is a great application for managing media files and includes several features which aren't usually available in freeware products such as this one.
