A compressed file takes up less storage space, and you can transfer it faster than an uncompressed one.

RAR files provided some benefits over other compressed formats, such as more common ZIP files. They are smaller, they have better error recovery, and they are easier to split.

1. Open RAR File on Windows 10

  2. When the installation wizard appears, choose your desired destination folder and click on the bottom-right corner’s Install button.
  3. When the installation is done, click on Finish and launch the application.
  4. In the 7-Zip interface, locate the archive that you want to open or go to the folder directly and double-click the file. You can then save the extracted files to the selected location.
  5. You can alternatively right-click on the repository and select the 7-Zip option from the context menu. You can extract the package quickly either with the Extract Here or Extract To “Subfolder” option. If you want to see what’s inside the compressed file, choose Open archive.

These steps are straightforward to perform, and once you are comfortable with these steps, it won’t take much time to extract compressed files.

How to open multipart RAR files

You can extract multipart archives with 7-Zip by selecting all the files (filename.part1.rar, filename.part2.rar, etc.) and then right-click one of them > 7-Zip > Extract files.

3. How to open RAR File online?

Prerequisites:

1.All the Biometric devices which needs to integrate with Keka should be in LAN.

2.PC should be connected to Internet in which Keka Sync tool is installed.

3.Employees Attendance numbers given in Keka should be same as the attendance numbers that are present in the Biometric device.

4.You will need an API key from your Keka account. Please note that Demo/Trial accounts cannot establish Sync.

Step 1: Get the IP address of the Biometric devices from your network administrator.

Step 3: Navigate to “Settings' page from Left navigation

Step 4: Navigate to “Time & Attendance” tab from Left navigation

Step 5: Navigate to “Device clocking” tab from Top navigation

Step 6: Click on the “Generate API Key” link


Step 7: Copy the generated API Key

Step 8: Click on the “Download Sync Tool” button

Step 9: Keka Sync Tool will start downloading as shown below

Step 10: Extract the downloaded zip file and Double click on the extracted .exe file

Step 11: Click on “More Info”

Step 12: Click on “Run anyway”

Step 13: Keka Sync tool will start installing as shown below

Step 14: Click on “Next” button in installation wizard

Step 15: Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” radio button and click on “Next” button.

Step 17: Click on “Yes” in User Account control window.

Step 18: Select “Launch the program” check box and Click on “Finish”.

Step 22: Paste the API key which is copied from Keka in the below window.


Step 23: Click on “Activate” button.

Step 29: Below screen will be visible while testing the connection.

Step 30: Click on “Save”.

Step 32: Success message will be shown as below after adding a device. Click on “OK”.

Step 33: All the added devices will be shown under “Show All Devices” tab.

Step 34: Navigate to “Settings”tab.

Step 35: Click on “Start Windows Service” if it has not yet started.

Note: After the Attendance Sync service is started it will sync the logs from biometric with Keka for every 10 mins


Step 36: To add few more Bio metric devices with Keka Sync Tool.

Navigate to “Devices” tab and click on “Add Device” and follow the above steps from Step 28.

Step 37: After adding all the biometric devices in Keka Sync tool. Login to Keka account with Global Admin credentials.

Step 38: Navigate to “Settings “tab from Left navigation.

Step 40: Navigate to “Time & Attendance” tab from Left navigation.

Step 41: Navigate to “Device clocking” from Top navigation.

Step 42: All the biometric devices that are added from Keka sync tool will be shown here.

Step 43: Click on “Manage access area” to create access area.

Step 44: Click on “Add Access area” to add a new access area.

Step 45:Enter the name of the Access area and select the radio button as per your requirement.

If “No. Don’t pair the logs. Use the punch state of the devices as it is.” Is selected then all the Time stamps and statuses will be considered as it is which are received from Biometric devices.

Step 49: Select punch state radio button based on your requirement and repeat the same step for all biometric devices.

Step 51: Upon integrating devices with access areas it may take around 10 minutes to get the logs from biometric devices and 10 more minutes to calculate attendance summary and show in employee attendance screen. The time duration may vary based on your network speed.
