Four years ago, Democrats went after Donald Trump in an effort to undermine his 2016 victory. Using Hillary Clinton’s Steele Dossier, they made the claim that the president won, thanks to working with Russian.
This “Russiagate” scandal led to a long Mueller probe, that proved no Americans worked with the foreign country. The DOJ under Trump looked into what Obama and his officials did—but we learned very little.
Now, with his administration soon to end, Trump, via Lindsey Graham, is declassifying it all. From Fox News:
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham on Friday released a slew of additional documents and transcripts related to his panel’s investigation into the origins and aftermath of the Trump-Russia probe, calling the original probe “one of the most incompetent and corrupt investigations in the history of the FBI and DOJ.”
And John Solomon says it points to a major revelation.
From Just the News:
A bombshell revelation in the remaining FBI documents on Russia collusion shows that the entire narrative was created and leaked to the news media to neutralize Hillary Clinton’s concern that her email scandal hadn’t gone away.
Among the many revelations soon to emerge from the new FBI documents is a surprising one about what Obama’s administration did.
The entire narrative that Trump “colluded” with Russia appears to have been crafted by the government and leaked to the media.
All to distract from ongoing concerns about Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.
We shouldn’t be surprised to learn that the media took the bait. The MSM has been gunning for Trump all along. We saw how they played softball with Hillary Clinton.
It’s not a stretch to think that the media was happy to play up a narrative that fingered Trump and let Hillary off the hook.
Questions still linger over Clinton’s emails. Perhaps all the attention paid to Russiagate was designed to shield her from calls from the public for examination.
But all of us who lived through the last 4 years know that all the noise about Russia effectively ended a push for information over Clinton’s emails.
